TIDBITS ABOUT WSS

I’m Arnold, but you can call me AJ—just like most of my colleagues do. I’m Filipino by birth, a proud Cebuano, and the storyteller behind this blog!

I grew up in the countryside, which gave me a deep appreciation for the simple life. That upbringing shaped who I am today: grounded, curious, and always eager to learn and explore.

I started my journey in tech as a data encoder, eventually transitioning into software development, software quality assurance, and, for the past eight years, project management.

I’ve been in the IT industry for quite some time now, and my work has taken me to several countries in Asia for business trips. Along the way, I’ve had the chance to visit some incredible places. I’ve also explored many parts of the Philippines—including areas that aren’t exactly known for being travel-friendly. Still, I find myself increasingly drawn to the outdoors—especially mountain trekking, camping, and anything that brings me closer to nature.

I used to be a total homebody, but over time, I’ve become someone who craves new experiences and fresh air. From a hesitant soul to a passionate traveler, I’ve also become a music lover at heart and a hobbyist photographer.

On weekdays, you’ll find me hard at work and fully focused. But when the weekends or holidays roll around, I turn into a full-on wanderer—chasing sunrises and sunsets, exploring new places, and creating lasting memories.

For me, traveling isn’t just about ticking destinations off a map—it’s about discovering the perfect mix of adventure, peace, and inspiration.
So if you happen to see me on one of my adventures, don’t hesitate to say hi!
